Oracle to buy Sun Microsystems

Well here is a interesting surprise, Oracle purchased Sun Microsystems. Honestly I can’t believe Oracle has the money for this. I thought IBM might be Suns saving grace, but Oracle? I don’t think this is the bail out that Sun is going to need in my opinion.

    Oracle, expensive for what you get… ever use Oracle Support? I really like billable hours but there’s nothing like sitting for hours on a support call changing configurations and then changing them back – four, six, eight hours of my life down the drain and all I have to look forward to is another call from Oracle Support tomorrow… and that’s only Hyperion. Oh, and in the afternoon their Support website “MetaLink” goes down. It’s java (Sun) based… What ever happened to Larry whining about Bill buying and screwing up good software? Anti-trust anyone?… nope. The motto is “if you can’t beat’em, join’em”.
