The United States of Sriracha – Diner’s Journal Blog – NYTimes.com
It’s nice to see my favorite sauce getting some recognition.  I literally put Sriracha on everything. Pizza, burgers, seafood, dumplings, salad… j/k I don’t eat salad.  Seriously, you should try it sometime.  It’s kind of like Tabasco, except it’s thicker and has better taste. (That’s what she said.)

On Wednesday, in the latest installment of United Tastes, John T. Edge’s series on the evolution of American food, John T. will be writing about Huy Fong’s Sriracha, the pan-Asian hot sauce that everyone from recent immigrants to third-generation Midwesterners have come to love. John T. has found dishes in 20 states, listed below, that use sriracha. Some are still on menus, others are gone but fondly recalled.

It’s not just for food, try it as toothpaste, face wash or shampoo… just don’t come crying to me when you’re eyes are burning.
